December 19, 2020 – The Historic Preservation Commission congratulates Roger Uden, winner of the Christmas Dinner Food Basket Raffle. Thank you to all that purchased tickets, we appreciate your support. We would also like to thank Hoopeston IGA for donating the turkey & Mr. B’s/Global Fashions for helping us sell tickets. We are truly grateful that they are a part of our community!

Congratulations to Gilbert Warner of Hoopeston. He was the lucky winner of the weed trimmer from the Historic Preservation Commission’s Spring Power Equipment Raffle. The trimmer was donated by Olympic Do it Best Hardware in Hoopeston. Pictured left to right with the winner is owners, Chuck Pajor & Jim Pajor and commission members Jeanette Andre”, Kristy Kelnhofer and Valarie Hinkle. Thank you, Olympic Hardware, along with everyone who purchased a ticket.

Golf Cart parade on May 30, 2021 – Pictured : 1st Place for best decorated cart “Birthday Cake”. Winners lead the parade to McFerren Park, where an ice cream social was hosted by the Historic Preservation Commission. All attendees receive a free ice cream from the Hoopeston Rotary Club.

2nd Place finish for best decorated golf cart was “Stars & Stripes”. A fun event, perfect weather, and delicious ice cream.
