The Hoopeston Municipal Court is run by the City of Hoopeston with hearing officers, who are certified attorneys, presiding over the case. Under this system, the burden of proof is on the offender to prove why they are not guilty of the offense. Municipal court is held the second Wednesday of each month, with only ordinance violations to be heard.
